TEHRAN – The Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs called on Saudi Arabia on Monday to make haste in preparing the grounds for Iranians to attend the 2017 Hajj pilgrimage.

Speaking a few days before Iran is set to dispatch representatives to Riyadh to discuss the Hajj issue, Ali Qazi Askar said Saudi Arabia “should be intent upon welcoming Iranian pilgrims,” ISNA reported.

The Iranian delegation will leave for Saudi Arabia on February 23.
